DAY 1 - ARRIVAL DAY

  1. Welcome to Tyler! Enjoy a tour of the Tyler Municipal Rose Garden (largest municipal Rose Garden in the nation). Free Admission. If there’s time, you can also visit the Rose Museum.
  2. Check into Hotel and get ready for dinner at Stanley’s BBQ (Local historic restaurant with award winning BBQ & Ribs).

DAY 2 - TEXAS STATE RAILROAD

  1. Breakfast at the hotel, then travel to Palestine, TX ( 45 min drive from Tyler).
  2. Texas State Railroad, 25-mile scenic historic train ride from the Palestine Depot to the Rusk Depot (Bus will travel to Rusk, from Palestine, to pick up travelers when they arrive at the Rusk Depot)
  3. LUNCH at Sadler’s (located in the old Historic Jail in Jacksonville) or Ritual Tea Room.
  4. Tour the only basket company in the state of Texas, Texas Basket Company in Jacksonville.
  5. Stop at Loves Lookout, scenic overlook/visitor center Enjoy one of East Texas’ most breathtaking views, north of Jacksonville in Cherokee County.
  6. Kiepersol Estates Winery & Distillery – East Texas’ legendary wine and spirits destination offers engaging behind-the-scenes tours. Kiepersol sits atop a peaceful rolling vineyard of grapevines nestled in the forested countryside south of Tyler. The picturesque farm of roaming guinea hens and timeless views produces internationally award-winning wines that are comfortable to drink and can be tasted on site. Personalized tours share stories of twenty years of wine production amidst the backdrop of an 800 barrel two-story cellar. On the other side of the farm, visitors can tour the micro-distillery and batch barrel room producing unique rums, bourbons and vodka. Casual tasting rooms for both wine and spirits offer on-site guided tastings, cocktails, bottles to go and gifts.
  7. Back to hotel to freshen up for dinner and souvenir shopping at The Potpourri House.

DAY 3 - DEPARTURE DAY

  1. Breakfast at the hotel.
  2. 1859 Goodman-LeGrand House & Museum – A delight for antique lovers and historians, this landmark brings the past to life, with furnishings, photos & memorabilia dating from the mid-1800’s
